There are currently no after-hours transfers available to/from Elysian Retreat. Access to the bay at Elysian Retreat is restricted at times due to the tidal changes. We recommend you contact Elysian Retreat for alternate transfer options to the retreat, should tides not be suitable. (Note, public holidays incur a surcharge)

GETTING TO Elysian Retreat
Fly into Hamilton Island
Hamilton Island is the only island within the Whitsundays with its own commercial airport. The Hamilton Island Airport services direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Cairns. Hamilton Island airline providers include Jestar, Quantas and Virgin Australia. Upon arrival make your way from the Hamilton Island Airport to G, Arm Hamilton Island Marina for your private boat transfer with Mars Charters to Elysian Retreat, Long Island.
Fly into Whitsunday Coast Airport
Guests of Daydream Island can fly into the Whitsunday Coast Airport just south of Proserpine. Upon arrival to the Whitsunday Coast Airport you will be required to organise bus or taxi transfers to transport you to Shute Harbour. It will take you around 60 minutes via private road transfer to arrive at Shute Harbour where you will board your private boat transfer with Mars Charters to Hamilton Island Marina. Shute Harbour is the closest departure point to Hamilton Island which gives you the quickest transfer possible to Elysian Retreat.

• All Hamilton Island private island transfers depart from G Arm, Hamilton Island Marina.
• Our departure location is only a 3 minute transfer from the Hamilton Island Airport via Resort Link. Otherwise it is a 10 minute walk from the Hamilton Island Airport to the Mars Charters marina arm.
• The Mars Charters departure point is just a short walk passed the Hamilton Island IGA Supermarket. Look for our friendly team wearing a black polo with a Mars Charters logo on it. Your helpful skipper will assist you with boarding the boat before your departure to your next island location.
• Should you require any assistance you can visit our temporary office located near the IGA Supermarket and underneath the marina office or please call us

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR SHUTE HARBOUR DEPARTURES
ALERT: The upgrade and redevelopment of Shute Harbour commenced in January 2020. During the closure of the main jetty, Mars Charters will be operating from the Sunsail jetty located at 6 Bay Terrace, Shute Harbour. Please walk along the jetty and wait for your transfer to arrive, our helpful team will then assit you in check-in and embarking the vessel for your journey to Daydream Island.

• All Coral Sea Marina deptures will meet at Meeting Point C, Coral Sea Marina.
• Our helpful team will greet you and walk you down to berth O-00 Coral Sea Marina for check-in and departure.
• Our departure location at Coral Sea Marina is a short 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk from Airlie Beach.
