There are direct flights into Hamilton Island, however sometimes these don’t suit, or aren’t too regular. Read through the below additional ways of getting to Hamilton Island. Getting from Whitsunday Coast Airport, Proserpine to Hamilton IslandPrivate Helicopter or Aeroplane Transfers from Proserpine or Airlie Beach to Hamilton IslandIf you’re wanting to tick off a bucket list item, or just arrive in style then you can arrive on your very own helicopter or aeroplane. This option is perfect if you are landing during the day and want an aerial view as you come into Hamilton Island. The transfer is for up to two people carrying 1 medium bag up to 20kg and a carry on per person (weight restrictions apply). Aeroplane transfers start at $270pp with a minimum of 4 passengers, or $110pp with a minimum of 4 passengers from Shute Harbour Airport. Boat Transfers from Whitsunday Coast Airport to Hamilton IslandOnce you’ve arrived into the beautiful historic town of Proserpine, you can find yourself a road transfer with one of our favourite shuttle companies, Airlie Beach Tours and Transfers. Hot tip! Save up to an hour over a shared shuttle buses by getting a private transfer. If your holiday to the tropical paradise of Hamilton Island is to get away from the business of the daily grind and do things at your own pace, a private transfer by boat over to Hamilton Island is the perfect choice. We transfer you from Shute Harbour on a scenic 40 minute transfer through the Whitsunday Islands you’ll arrive at your tropical destination. Every seat has views of the islands, and you have the vessel to yourself so there’s no waiting around or trying to quickly get the best seat on board. The Cruise Whitsundays Ferry is a great transfer option if you’re already staying in Airlie Beach. They have two ferry departures from Shute Harbour per day before 4pm. Transfers to Hamilton Island with Cruise Whitsundays will cost you approximately $60 per adult and it takes approximately 40 minutes. After hours transfers from Proserpine or Airlie Beach to Hamilton IslandIf your flight arrives into Whitsunday Coast Airport after the last ferry at 4pm and when it is too late for a helicopter transfer then we are here to help.
